Job Description

Job Purpose:

Monitor and adjust to minimize obsolescence. Directs shipping and receiving efforts to ensure timely processing. Conforms to policy on special parts ordering. Ensures that all dealership purchases are properly accounted before payment is made. Assists in the supervision of stock order procedures. Coordinates as a prompt, efficient and timely flow of paper work. Assist at year end stock take to record accurately assets of parts department. Ensures that the same high-quality level of service provided to external customers is provided to internal customers. Works closely with operations to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs. Enforces and monitors guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic contributions: as a section head supports department managers to achieve net goals and accomplish objectives          
  • Inventory Management: Improving service rate
  • Improving our stocking level
  • Improve customer satisfaction - Ensure that the customers are satisfied to optimum level with maximizing a good turnaround time by way of having efficient inventory level in turn having high customer satisfaction
  • Employees development / Engagement
  • Define with support of direct reports yearly departmental performance standards and targets
  • Timely calling of containers, having timely availability (JIT) saving cost for the company by minimizing demurrages
  • Certifying Branches, QSC's, Body shop as per DPOK                                                                                                                                                          

 

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration / Mechanical Engineering or any related field
  • 8 - 10 years’ experience in parts operation and inventory management
