Job Description

Job Purpose:

To carry out the responsibility by operating the vehicle warehouse department at maximum production, controlling cost, building customer relationships, maintaining good employee relationship, setting and control distribution of vehicles of the establishment to meet sales demand effectively.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Manage the department as head of warehouse department., to direct and control warehouse operations.
  • Establish financial and operational objectives, and prepare monthly forecast to full fill all the requirements in order to achieve company goals.
  • Monitor and control the performance of the Department to ensure smoothness in workflow. (Daily operation, efficiency and productivity control)
  • Responsible to Appoint/terminate warehouse staff consistent with the interest of the company in line with BU head approval.
  • Coordinates with other internal Dept. (Legal, HR & Finance) in order to insure smoothness in work flow.
  • Follow up with the insurance company all the claims regarding the cars problems coming from the port or from the warehouse and collection of receivables.
  • Follow the warehouses fire insurance to avoid the problems.
  • Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, frequency and management of the process.
  • Establish and monitor specific supply chain based performance measurement systems.
  • Use IT systems to manage optimal stock locations, delivery schedules and transportation.
  • Create where required policies and procedure for all business activities.
  • Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs, training and safety records.
  • Implement specific customer requirements for SLA's (service level agreements) and JIT (just in time) delivery.
  • Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, import/port clearance and customs issues.
  • Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Plan and implement improvements to internal systems and processes.
  • Professional and timely collaboration with other departments and colleagues, especially SPS about POI (pre-delivery inspection).
  • Direct inbound and outbound logistics operations such as transportation and warehouse activities, safety performance and quality management.
  • Allocate and manage staff resources according to changing needs of the Business Units.
  • Manage proactively staff training, coaching and development.
  • Ensure appropriate security at all times with appropriate CCTV surveillance and maintenance.
  • Manage and measure the appropriate levels of valeting (vehicle cleaning) for all units.
  • Establish and monitor maintenance schedules and controls for all internal vehicles and trailers.
  • Develop a culture of change management.
  • Develop timely and efficient processes for the clearance of all goods from Port.
  • Establish and where applicable monitor manufacture requirements for the storage and maintenance of all stock units.
  • Monitor and manage manpower to its maximum level to maximize productivity and minimize HR cost in terms of Overtime and internal trips.

 

Minimum Requirement:

  • Masters in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
  • 8-10 years' experience in the same field
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Analytical skills, drive for results, hiring and selecting people, leadership skills
  • Excellent in English and Arabic.
  • Record of successful distribution and logistics management.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, numerical reasoning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
  • First class communication skills both oral and written.
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure and offer creative solutions.
  • Good commercial and business understanding.
  • Experience of working in a multicultural environment.
  • High IT literacy.
  • A positive attitude to continued development.
