Accounts & Finance Manager

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Finance Manager will support corporate goals and objectives by providing financial and analytical leadership through financial planning, reporting and analysis.  The successful candidate will initiate analyses designed to improve operating performance and will effectively and persuasively communicate analyses and recommendations to all levels of management.  This role requires significant accuracy and attention to detail as well as creative problem solving abilities.


Responsibilities include:


  • Prepare and present P&L analysis for major initiatives
  • Identify, track and analyze key metrics that impact the business
  • Develop and maintain budgeting framework and tools
  • Create budgeting and strategic planning for multiple internal organizations
  • Drive the planning and measuring of corporate initiatives
  • Support corporate goals in partnership with senior business leaders
  • Prepare the monthly close (journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, and transaction/account analysis)
  • Prepare and coordinate external audit support schedules in preparation for year-end audit
  • Review assigned month-end close processes and refine as necessary to create and maintain proper controls/compliance
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with current internal control processes
  • Seek solutions for accounting problems prior to presenting them to manager
  • Participate in preliminary analysis of financial reports, interprets financial results, and alerts management of significant problems
  • Complete ad hoc projects as needed


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; MBA preferred
  • 5+ years experience with financial reporting, budgeting and business analysis
  • 3 years of finance team management experience
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Economics or related area
  • A “self-starter” and “can-do” approach
  • Full and complete understanding of financial statements.
  • Excellent financial modeling capabilities with a high proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to retrieve and analyze information from various financial and operational systems
  • Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, with a keen attention to detail
  • Meets and manages deadlines effectively
  • Self-motivated and self-directed, with a positive attitude
  • Accepts responsibility, accountability and takes pride in his/her work.
